”Rock’n roll that makes you crawl”

Tear Us Apart is a Norwegian synth rock band formed in 2019. The band members are Lars Martin Kræmer (keyboards, bass, guitars, drum programming and lead singer) and Jan Erik Kirkevold Nilsen (guitars and singer). The band's debut album ”Mindlands” is out now.

”We’re nothing apart”

Everything really started at the secondary school in the eighties. A decade with an incredible array of great songs, albums and bands. The band members were deeply fascinated by the music of some of these bands and it has shaped them as musicians. They have played in different bands throughout, both together and individually. From 2003 to 2005 they had a few short recording sessions together. As they listened through the old recordings again in 2019, both were surprised by how good it sounded and decided to complete the songs.

Mixing catchy tunes with dynamism and rawness is a big part of Tear Us Apart's music recipe. It’s sometimes dark and monotonous, sometimes sore and beautiful. With a lot of song material and after many sessions in the studio they now feel that they have found the perfect soundscape. Lars Martin has written the lyrics and produced the songs in his private home studio in Tønsberg city.
